How to Make: Lovely Nature Magnets

flower and shell magnets

Paper flowers and shells + magnets + glue = pretty flower magnets to hang things with! The tin held mint chocolates from some grateful authors at work last Christmas. Here’s how they look in action:

Materials:

Paper flowers (try the craft store scrapbooking aisle)
Shells, coins, or other small objects
Small coin-shaped magnets
E-6000 glue

1. Check to see which side of the magnets sticks to metal before gluing, otherwise your magnets won’t stick. If needed, mark each magnet with a pen or some white-out.

2. Lay out your materials so you don’t waste glue sorting through things. Pick out the prettiest flowers and shells to use first; you can always make more later.

3. Glue each item to the side of the magnet that didn’t stick to metal. Let dry.

4. Decorate your fridge, filing cabinet, or cubicle.
